Butte County Board of Supervisors convened Jan. 13, 2026. The board elected its chair, heard public tributes for the late Congressman Doug LaMalfa, received extended public comment on flooding in the Kiefer Slough/Rock Creek area, approved committee and resident appointments, appointed an interim public works director, and reviewed legislative platforms, federal project priorities and a statutory annual hearing on workforce vacancies (AB 2561).
