Homer Glen Village Board met Sept. 11, 2024. Trustees handled routine consent business, debated a $1,000 reimbursement request for Lenny’s Gas and Wash (tabled with conditions), approved a parking adjustment for 14055 S. Bell Road, approved the emergency operations plan and other ordinances, and voted to authorize the village manager and attorney to assist residents along 143rd Street facing eminent-domain offers. A lengthy workshop reviewed the village's form of government, Open Meetings/FOIA rules, Robert's Rules and board-staff relations. Public comments raised concerns about BP pipeline tree clearing along Longview Drive and the 143rd Street project.
