Iowa City held a Dec. 9, 2025 work session where University of Iowa student government representatives reported plans to pass a resolution on more inclusive living-learning communities and approved $10,000 for a Native American Student Association powwow. City staff discussed a proposed pilot for protected bike bollards on Dodge and Governor streets and asked council for direction on proceeding with design and a roughly $110,000 pilot cost.
