The Maryland House of Representatives convened in Annapolis for a routine legislative session on Jan. 23, 2026. Members completed roll call, accepted the journal and a compensation commission report, read and referred introductory bills and bond initiatives to committees, heard multiple committee scheduling announcements and personal guest recognitions, and the majority leader moved to adjourn until Jan. 28, 2026.
