Bloomington City Council heard extensive public comment on a proposed ordinance to ban possession, sale and distribution of kratom and related synthetic products; after presentations from public safety and medical experts the council approved an ordinance with a delayed effective date. The meeting also included public comment about an IDOT Route 9 sidewalk proposal and a fiscal update from the finance director.
