Davis County Budget Committee heard presentations from the sheriff's office on search-and-rescue staffing and equipment requests, an update and revenue report on the new public shooting range with a proposal to shift some tourism revenue to cover weekend recreation costs, and a buildings-and-grounds briefing on capital needs including the emergency operations center (EOC), security-system upgrades and a proposed crime-lab redesign.
