The Iron County Commission met Monday to appoint a chair, receive training on the Open Meetings Act, hear a contested rezoning near Parowan that the commission approved, consider zoning ordinance amendments (including vehicle storage rules), discuss recognition of the Escalante Valley Housing Authority, approve several routine contracts and personnel actions, and enter a closed session on real property.
