At a Jan. 27 governance workshop, the Azusa Unified School District Board of Education reviewed a proposed update to its governance handbook, discussed AB 1390 (a new state law increasing allowable trustee stipends) and signaled consensus to place a stipend-alignment item on the Feb. 10 agenda. The board also debated agenda-setting procedures, meeting start/closed-session timing, confidentiality and election-year conduct.
