The Buncombe County Board of Elections held an absentee board meeting on Jan. 28, 2026. Members approved the agenda and two sets of minutes, adopted a resolution setting when absentee ballots may be counted on election day, heard staff introductions and office updates, reviewed absentee ballot procedures, approved 11 absentee ballots (8 civilian, 3 overseas), and discussed equipment and ID guidance ahead of the primary.
