State Auditor Doug Hoffer briefed the House Appropriations Committee on his office’s modest budget request, staffing, use of contract auditors and emphasis on performance auditing, and answered members’ questions about audit timelines and follow-up. Members thanked the auditor and requested the additional program-level performance notes he offered to share.
