Cascade City Council on Jan. 26, 2026, debated whether to replace or relocate sidewalks along Hayes Street SW and voted to shift the roadway to keep a 4-foot sidewalk within the public right-of-way. The council also received the fiscal 2025 audit, approved the audit resolution and an EMS volunteer stipend amendment, agreed to a temporary food pantry relocation, and began a fiscal 2027 budget workshop.
