At a special Los Angeles City Council meeting members and department leaders reviewed the Public Works-related components of the mayor's proposed fiscal 2026'027 budget. Presenters warned that staff reductions and tighter revenues have reduced capacity for street repairs, ADA ramp work and other core services; staff will return with budget detail and an ordinance package in spring.
