The Unified Government Commission of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas met Jan. 29, 2026, and approved multiple planning-and-zoning special use permits (including an auto-sales permit, a temporary shipping-container permit, a liquor store and a small senior-living home), established a redevelopment/TIF district for the Buc-ee’s project, set a public hearing on the Neighborhood Revitalization Area for Feb. 19, 2026, and approved several land-bank actions.
