The House Corrections & Institutions committee met on Jan. 30 to hear guidance from the Joint Fiscal Office on how policy committees should frame general fund budget requests and to form a five-member subcommittee to draft questions for upcoming agency budget presentations; members also noted a separate House Judiciary straw vote supporting H 540 and asked to schedule a committee vote on that bill.
