Dayton Public Schools board held a special meeting to consider two resolutions of necessity to place levies on the ballot (a 5-mill operating levy and a combined 5-mill operating plus 2-mill permanent-improvement levy). After discussion on timing, revenue estimates and outreach, the board approved both resolutions 5-1 and will seek county auditor certificates before a second vote to place measures on the ballot.
