The Michigan City Common Council met Jan. 20, 2026. The council approved committee assignments and claims dockets, heard a presentation from the American Lung Association about a proposed smoke-free ordinance, received an update and community questions about the private Project Maze data center and a reported workplace fall, and adopted an interlocal ethics resolution.
