Okemos Public Schools Board of Education held an organizational meeting and regular business session in January 2026. Trustees elected officers, reviewed a proposed $750,000 donor pledge for a new baseball turf field (presentation only), considered a Hiawatha playground replacement, reviewed year-end budget pressures and the superintendent search, and heard public comment from the varsity baseball coach in support of the turf proposal.
