The House Transportation and Infrastructure committee held a public hearing to review House Resolution 352, which orders an investigation into implementation of Article 12 of Law 22 (2000) and the recent procurement process for vehicle inspection systems. Department of Transportation officials, Cartec Caribe and industry groups testified about equipment, alleged procurement irregularities, fraud risks and economic impacts on small inspection stations.
