Pacific Grove City Council met Feb. 4, 2026. The council denied an appeal of a planning commission approval for a remodel and ADU at 685 Mermaid Avenue after extended presentations and public comment; adopted an urgency ordinance banning recreational drone use (with a limited exception for previously permitted projects); held wide-ranging discussion of e-bikes and enforcement on the recreational trail and directed staff to pursue further stakeholder work; and asked staff to document ownership and allowable uses for Chautauqua Hall.
