Belton ISD held a budget workshop in which district leadership reviewed multi-year budget pressures, a recent federal funding cut to SHARS, prior reductions and a set of proposed staffing and program changes that could yield up to $8.6 million in additional reductions for the 2026–27 budget. The session included one public comment about library content and closed with no board action; it was a workshop only.
