Stockton City Council on Feb. 3, 2026 heard a public hearing on forming a Downtown Stockton Community Improvement District, accepted a fiscal year 2024–25 fourth-quarter budget status update and approved several consent items including homelessness assistance funding and a tobacco enforcement grant. After extended public comment, the council voted 4–3 to adopt the CID while removing two proposed expansion areas (A and B).
