A Jan. 20 public hearing before the Board of Education of Baltimore County drew more than a dozen community speakers who warned that Superintendent Miriam Rogers's proposed FY2027 operating budget would raise class sizes, cut hundreds of positions and rely on one-time reserves. Speakers urged greater transparency, an external audit and preservation of school-based services such as library media specialists and special education supports.
