Pinellas County held a virtual information meeting to present the McKay Creek Greenway Trail design, solicit community feedback and answer questions about alignment, environmental impacts, tree removal, connectivity and schedule. Designers said the 1.5-mile, mostly 10-foot-wide paved trail will be built on county land with mitigation for wetland impacts and removal of about 86 trees; construction is planned to begin in 2027.
