Major Nathan Swires of the Dallas Police Department summarized a Feb. 8, 2026 officer-involved shooting on the 5100 block of Lemon Avenue in which a man who had called 911 and said he had a knife was shot by responding officers and later died; the department released body-worn camera video and multiple agencies will investigate.
