Dare County Board of Commissioners met in Manteo on 2026-02-12. The board recognized local nonprofits and staff, heard presentations on local health and community programs, approved a pickleball MOU and several capital items, authorized a parks-and-recreation sales-tax referendum for the November ballot, allocated $13,067,426 toward the Nags Head beach nourishment project, and approved targeted pay increases to address CDL staffing shortages.
