Department of Fish and Wildlife presented its FY27 budget to the House Appropriations Committee and proposed a new Fish and Wildlife area license (day and annual passes) to help address declining license revenue and growing demand for access areas. Commissioners also discussed hatchery efficiency, wardens' roles, tick research, and contingency plans if projected fee revenue does not materialize.
