Chair opened the quarterly meeting, led the pledge of allegiance and invited introductions. Staff and agency partners introduced themselves, including Tom Hurley (South Florida Water Management District), Serena Davila (Florida DEP), James Clasby (St. Lucie County Commissioner), Jeff Brower (Volusia County Chair), Kim Atkinson (Brevard County Vice Chair) and Doug Vornique (St. John's).
The Indian River Lagoon Council held its quarterly board of directors meeting on 2026-02-13. Board members heard water-quality updates showing rising salinities and winter bloom activity, approved ranked RFP lists across three funding categories and authorized staff to negotiate contracts, and moved $100,000 to an Indian River County septic-to-sewer project; the council also adopted a tentative FY2027 budget and authorized submittal of the EPA work plan.
