At the Feb. 11, 2026 Santa Rosa City Schools Board of Education meeting the board approved a fiscal stabilization plan aimed at closing a roughly $15 million structural gap, including deep staffing and program reductions, after hours of public testimony about proposed school closures (Steel Lane) and cuts to ArtQuest. The board also approved a motion to pursue alternative district-consolidation study options and handled multiple personnel and policy items including an expulsion case and revised tiebreaking criteria.
