Bonneville County Treasurer Craig Tibbets hosted a public event marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence with an opening prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, a public reading of the Declaration, a performance of "God Bless America," and local mayors and officials in attendance. Organizers invited attendees to sign a commemorative scroll for the state and to participate in 250,000 acts of service before July 4.
