Doctor Zachariah Ullman of Albany State University gave a technical presentation on instrumental methods for analyzing gunshot residue (GSR) and how those analyses can inform crime-scene reconstruction. He described three laboratory techniques (scanning electron microscopy with EDS, time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), showed example results, and invited questions at the end.
