Lake Placid Community Redevelopment Agency and Town Council met Feb. 16, 2026. The CRA reviewed a Kimley-Horn project packet and approved reallocations for Hillcrest funds, a small budget amendment for downtown flower pots and a phased planting plan; discussed streetscape lighting options and prioritized road paving. The Town Council introduced a new town attorney firm, heard a downtown master-plan update, and approved a loan-authorization motion to replace a $4.0 million short-term draw with new financing to cover cash-flow on a septic-to-sewer grant; council also authorized staff to submit a utilities SRF grant application (subject to attorney review) and adopted a revised local mitigation strategy.
