Southampton County Planning Commission met for its September session. The board honored retiring commissioner William W. Day, discussed concerns about altered meeting minutes and transparency, and spent substantial time on whether to pursue a National Scenic River designation for the Nottoway River and whether to form a citizen committee and invite an outside presenter (Jamie Craig) to brief the commission.
