Co-chair Jan opened the meeting, welcomed participants, noted this is the last CEMW meeting of the fiscal year, and outlined the agenda: recap of the last meeting, updates on two CEMW work items, three project presentations (tribal projects focus), and planning for a fall joint meeting with the California Wetland Monitoring Work Group. Jan identified co-chairs (Jan, Pike, Marissa).
CEMW (California Estuary Monitoring Work Group) held a meeting focused on two ongoing work items (a statewide clearinghouse of monitoring programs and development of matrices/slides for estuarine health) and a sequence of tribal-led monitoring presentations highlighting smelt monitoring, eDNA work, and tribal marine steward network development. Attendees discussed outreach, a CEMW website launch, and a proposed joint fall workshop with the California Wetland Monitoring Work Group.
