The Criminal Law Subcommittee of the Judiciary Committee held a work session on House Bill 53 to add several exotic animals (including zebras, kangaroos and wallabies) to the state list of prohibited pets, heard testimony about prior zebra escapes, considered an amendment to remove zebras, and voted to report the bill favorably to the full committee.
