The Spokane Police Ombuds Commission met Feb. 17, 2026, approved minutes and its agenda, received monthly OPO staffing and case updates, and voted unanimously to recommend changes in SPD policy after a closing report on a July 20, 2025 use-of-force incident that included vehicle contact and multiple taser applications. The commission approved posting its investigation findings online, finalized a memorandum of decision after executive session, and postponed the March meeting to April.
