Chair Reitschher called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m., led the pledge, and staff completed roll call: Commissioner Sherman (present), Commissioner Khan (present), Commissioner Henderson (present), Chair Reitschher (present); Commissioner Langley was excused.
The Gardena Planning and Environmental Quality Commission met in the evening to hear a presentation from the Los Angeles County Sanitation District about wastewater recycling, green energy and a proposed advanced treatment demonstration at the AK Warren facility in Carson, to receive a public comment about street lighting and illegal dumping on Denker, and to revisit possible city rules for outdoor dining including parking, setbacks and portable vs. fixed furniture. The commission directed staff to draft ordinance language on outdoor dining for a future meeting and approved the prior meeting minutes.
