Town energy committee members from across Vermont told the House Energy and Digital Infrastructure Committee on Feb. 18 that they support a statewide greenhouse-gas reporting bill and want help to expand local efficiency and solar programs. Witnesses urged a freeze on net-metering rate cuts, backing for appliance and building-efficiency standards, oversight of data-center growth and $500,000 to stand up a statewide emissions-inventory program.
