The Committee on House Health and Human Services held hearings on multiple bills including adoption-by-reference of USP compounding standards (House Bill 2740), updates to the controlled-substances schedules including a fentanyl-class provision and proposed scheduling of 7-hydroxymitragynine (House Bill 2765), consideration and passage of the Anesthesiologist Assistant Licensure Act (House Bill 2368), and final action on home-plus licensing limits with an amendment (House Bill 2520). Committee members, board staff, KBI representatives, a forensic chemist and several public commenters questioned scope, enforcement, and potential impacts on access and commerce.
