Chair Hack called the special Planning & Zoning Commission meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., reviewed the work session agenda, and introduced tonight’s presenters: Maura (Maura Gast) of the Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau and Beth Bowman of the Irving Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce/Irving Economic Development Partnership.
Irving Planning & Zoning Commission held a special work session where the Irving Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Irving Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce/Irving Economic Development Partnership presented on visitor-economy impacts, hotel market conditions, and economic development priorities; commissioners asked about hotel development standards, pipelines of new hotels and major corporate relocations, and the ExxonMobil site. Presentations closed with scheduling of the North Nursery Corridor neighborhood plan for a later meeting.
