Canutillo Independent School District Board of Trustees met Feb. 24, 2026 to recognize PTOs, hear public comment (including students opposing local implementation of Senate Bill 11), receive the district Texas Academic Performance Report and Lone Star Governance goal updates, and take votes on SB 11 (motion not to adopt a policy), purchase of six electric buses (approved), several consent items including a memorandum of understanding with Solros State University (approved), principal appointments, and authorization to review a developer proposal for property improvements.
