Mayor and council met with the Berlin Fire Company and Berlin Fire Company EMS to review impact-fee work, operating and capital funding, a proposed memorandum of understanding for the annual grant, recruitment and retention incentives for volunteers, and ambulance financing and service capacity. No formal votes were taken; staff will pursue a consultant study and follow-up conversations with the county and the fire company.
