Mayor (unnamed) called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., followed by an invocation delivered by Alderman Sledge and the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor noted that all board members were present except for Ms. Moody (family bereavement).
The Thomas Spencer Board of Aldermen met November 12 to approve routine agenda items and unanimously approve several event- and planning-related measures: a second amendment to the Spencer Partnership special event agreement (adding a Holiday Caravan Parade), a temporary road-closure ordinance for the night parade, participation in UNC's Our State, Our Homes program, and a $100,000 grant acceptance for the Grama Creek Blueway Trailhead. Board members also heard multi-department updates on streets, sidewalks, stormwater, parks and long-range planning.
