The City of Tempe Board of Adjustments on Feb. 25, 2026 heard an appeal of a zoning administrator's "similar use" ruling that classified a proposed Terawatt autonomous vehicle (AV) fleet charging depot at 2105 S. Terrace Road as a vehicle-based service. After hours of testimony and public comment, the board approved the appeal and recommended the use be treated as a general/industrial-type use rather than the PCC-1 neighborhood commercial category.
