AWAKE (Abused Women Aid in Crisis) leaders presented a lunchtime overview of domestic and intimate-partner violence in Alaska, highlighting high statewide rates, rural and Alaska Native community barriers to services, health impacts across the life course, program capacities, and the economic rationale for prevention.
