Astoria SD 1 board held a retreat-style meeting that elected new leadership, approved an auditor-required plan of action, and spent the bulk of the session setting three board goals: understand declining enrollment, increase/maintain enrollment through outreach and marketing, and review implementation of anti-bullying/harassment policy. The board set timelines and responsibilities for data collection, community outreach and a proposed marketing hire.
