The Kutztown Area School Board heard a seventh-grade student presentation about a Philadelphia mock appellate court experience and approved a series of routine personnel, contract and procurement items. The board also debated and approved a nonbinding proposed final budget for 2025–26 that includes a 4% tax increase and an expected reduction of four teaching positions to help close a roughly $170,000 deficit.
