At its regular meeting, the Jackson County Legislature approved procedural discharges of three ordinances for full-legislature consideration, confirmed multiple executive appointments, honored local organizations and individuals, and a legislator introduced a resolution opposing the potential reopening of the CoreCivic‑owned detention facility in Leavenworth. The resolution was assigned to the full legislature for further action.
