Board chair (speaker 1) opened the Nov. 25 meeting, led the pledge, asked for a volunteer to read the district mission statement, and read a land acknowledgment naming the Menominee, Ho-Chunk and Oneida Nations. Chair gave brief procedural notes about returning from closed session.
At its Nov. 25, 2024 meeting, the Green Bay Area Public School District Board of Education received a detailed presentation from Somerville Architects on the planned Westside Elementary (to be built on the Kennedy site), certified referendum results, and approved initial financing parameters for projects funded by the referendum. The board also established a draft timeline for a facility naming committee and approved several routine committee memberships, plans and policy revisions before moving into closed session to discuss the interim superintendent contract.
