A Tompkins County criminal-justice working group reviewed the arrest-to-arraignment practices used by Ithaca Police and county sheriffs, discussed station-house bail, holding-cell capacity and alternatives to incarceration (electronic monitoring, day/night reporting, diversion teams), and agreed to schedule a public-input meeting and follow up with the state sheriff's association.
