The Amherst Central School District presented a proposed $78.8 million budget for the 2024 fiscal year, saying a $1.4 million increase in state aid narrowed the gap. Officials warned that if voters reject the proposal the district would adopt a contingency budget that would eliminate community facility use and restrict equipment and pay increases.
